As most of you will know, Wessex Neurological Centre literally saved my life in February when I suffered a brain abscess. Without surgery I would not be here & myself & family will be eternally grateful to my surgeon & the whole team. I was obviously unable to do my annual 100km walk for MacMillan this year, but I am pleased to say that with the help of my physio I am slowly building up my walking distance again. On 22nd October I will walk what was my usual daily 10km walk for the first time since my operation. I can’t tell you how good this is going to feel! To me this is not sponsorship worthy, but several friends & family members have persuaded me that under the circumstances it is! I have chosen Smile4Wessex to give back something to the unit that saved my life.
