Relay for VJ

Relay for VJ” in memory of Steve’s good friend and our great colleague VJ Patel who died of Covid in 2021.  VJ was an inspiring individual who we miss greatly and we want to celebrate his life and keep the memories of his positive energy alive. Last year Steve did this by completing 100km “Race to the Stones” raising nearly £6k.  This year we are going 1, well 2 better by three of us – Steve, Rachelle and Stephanie, doing 100km marathon “Race to the Kings” on 17th/18th June and hoping to raise even more money. For those of you who know us well, you’ll realise that some of us aren’t the most athletic so this really is a challenge!  Added to that we are doing it together, and the thought of spending 2 days in each other’s company makes this a whole lot more difficult! VJ was passionate about the power of sport and the opportunities it creates for young people, and we can think of no better tribute than supporting this charity – Sport 4 Like UK. Thank you in advance for your generosity.Steve, Rachelle, Stephanie. Sport 4 Life UK believe in a level playing field where every young person has the opportunity to create a better future for themselves.  They provide the opportunity for young people (aged 11 – 29) to prepare for and move into sustained education, employment, or training by improving their employability and key like skills through its sports themed personal development services.

VJ was passionate about the power of sport, and the opportunities it create's for young people, and I can think of no better tribute, in supporting the charity and keep the memories of VJ's positive energy alive.
