Story
On August 12th 2020, my dad was involved in an accident that would of been fatal if it wasn't for the quick response and amazing skill of the emergency services.
I got to witness first hand the upper echelon of professionalism while paramedics, doctors, the Welsh air ambulance and the coastguard all came together in challenging conditions to save my father from what was certain death.
After watching the amazing work they carried out i feel it's only right that I raise money to ensure they can continue providing their incredible life saving service for the next person.
So on August 2nd I will attempt to cycle 968 miles from John o' Groats to Lands end in 10 days, averaging just under 100 miles a day.
For those that don't know me, I mainly specialise in lifting really heavy stuff in a very much static position, and avoid cardio as much as humanly possible. So this will truly be a massive challenge.
The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep the helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.
Your donations will help keep this vital service in Wales.
