So I’ve taken on a little challenge 🥵
I am aiming to Everest Puig Major, Mallorca on 28th May 2025. This is a big challenge and will see me climb Puig 10 times to gain over 10000 metres of elevation (Everest is 8848 metres) riding 294km in the process over 16 to 18 hours!!
28th May is significant as its World Blood Cancer Day and I have been fortunate enough to be a Ride Captain on Cure Leukaemia's Tour21 rides over the last 4 years.
This is my way to give a little back to the charity that has given me some great experiences and memories for a lifetime over the last 4 years
The ride will be recorded on Strava and ratified on the official Everesting site. https://everesting.com/
Cure Leukaemia helps blood cancer patients to access pioneering drug and transplant treatments by funding a network of specialist research nurses across the UK. Without these nurses, to ensure patients are monitored and cared for, clinical trials of these new treatments would not run and patients, that have exhausted standard treatment options, would miss out on potentially lifesaving therapies. Every penny raised for Cure Leukaemia helps save lives and also hastens global progress towards the eradication of all forms of blood cancer.
