Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The International Bomber Command Centre, and its charity, has become close to my heart. especially its core elements of keeping the story of those who served, supported and suffered alive and educating children to understand the what and the why and hopefully help the need for this level of loss ever arising again.

Their ethos of Recognition, Remembrance and Reconciliation are core to all that they do and are important for both current and future generations.

I also love the camaraderie of the veterans (makes me wish I'd been in the military), the reconciliation message also massively resonates.

Why Kilimanjaro? I Iove to travel and doing slightly offbeat things, so going to the highest point in Africa on world's largest free-standing mountain has always appealed, and it felt achievable, as opposed to climbing Everest.
