On Yer Bike Ireland Cycling Challenge May 2026 · 14 May 2026 to 16 May 2026 ·

Over 40 cyclists are taking on the challenge of cycling over 350km from Leitrim to Killarney to raise a significant amount of money to support small charities in the communities in which the Glencar Group operate (co-sponsors Gallagher Group).

Story

The Gallagher Group are co-organising and taking part in the 'On Yer Bike 2026 Challenge' with our friends at Glencar Construction.

The Gallagher Group are throwing their weight behind the https://theftdbrothers.com/.

Please do read about their tragically sad, yet inspiring story. Jordan and Cian are currently undertaking 32 marathons around Ireland (following on from completing the London Marathon - which Jordan completed carrying a 25kg Fridge - remarkable!).

Both Gallagher's and Glencar are committed to fully supporting the FTB Brothers and will donate a significant donation to their efforts following our ride.

Our Challenge

Over 40 cyclists will take on our 3rd 'On Yer Bike' cycling challenge from Leitrim to Killarney over 3 days, starting on Thursday 14th May 2026!

It will be a grueling test, both physically and mentally, and the bodies are certainly going to feel it!

There will also be plenty of Traditional Irish entertainment and well-deserved Guinness along the way.

This event is supporting the Glencar Foundation, which was established as a construction industry charity in 2023. The objective is clear; to support small charities benefiting the communities in which Glencar operates. We focus on organisations that make a real and tangible impact, including foodbanks, special needs schools, mental health services, and hospice care. However, we remain open to supporting any deserving cause that aligns with our values and delivers meaningful benefit to local communities.
