Story
Mosaic Variegated Aneuploidy (MVA) is an ultra-rare genetic condition affecting fewer than 50 people worldwide. One of the brave few just happens to be a child at the school I teach at.. George is in Reception Class, meaning he is currently four. We share the same birth date (I am a little older!), so we have this in common. This condition is so rare that there is just no funding available. It is a daily struggle for his parents to take care of his needs. With greater research, George's future can have greater certainty.
So I thoght I would take on two challenges to raise a few thousand pounds for pioneering research. Walk one is Hadrian's Wall in May; the second will be a 100km walkalong the Italian Comino trail into Rome this summer. Any support you can offer would go a long way to giving George a hopeful future.
