In April 2025 Im going to Everest base camp. The trek starts at 2846m and by the time we get to base camp it will be an elevation of 5,364 m.

Altitude sickness starts from about 2000m so a lot of training and prep is happening before then to limit the risk.

I wanted to raise some money (and help my motivation!) for doing this so have chosen to raise money for St Teresas. It’s a local hospice that does some incredible work. Sadly more and more of us know someone who has had to use a hospice and I would like to do something to help it continue for the future
