Story
In May I lost my Nan, Alma Green to a long struggle with Dementia. After her death I really struggled particularly with my Mental Health. As hard as it was, I knew she would want me to take care of myself, the way she always cared for me so I joined a gym and began swimming again.
I wanted to do something to honour the memory, of the strongest parental figure I had in my life. On June the 12th, 2026 I've entered to swim 2 Miles open water in the Great North Swim in Lake Windemere, and I'll be raising Money for Together Dementia Support, in her memory!
Together Dementia Support are here to help people in Manchester and Trafford live positively with Dementia. There are around 5,000 people in Manchester currently living with Dementia, and since 2014 TDS has supported over 1,000 people and their loved ones to stay active, social and connected.
I want to raise a minimum of £1000
00, but the more we raise the more Together Dementia Support can do for families like mine. If you’re able to donate or share the page, it means a lot.
