Story

On Saturday, August 8th, I will be standing at the foot of a mountain in Switzerland, preparing for one of the hardest physical challenges of my life. I am participating in the Titlis Bergtrophy, climbing from Engelberg to the 3,239-meter summit of Titlis.

I’m doing this for Andrew Jackson—my brother-in-law, a "gentle giant," and a man who left a huge void in the lives of my sister Susan and all who knew him when he lost his battle with cancer on May 26th, 2026.

In 2016, Andrew stood on top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. It was a staggering achievement. As I tackle 2,200 vertical meters and cross the glacier to the Titlis summit, I’ll be carrying his memory with every step, trying to match just a fraction of his strength.

I am raising funds for Longfield Community Hospice. When Andrew and Sue needed help the most, Longfield was there. Their team visited twice a day, providing care that was quite literally "heaven sent." They ensure that no one has to face the fear of a life-limiting illness alone.

Please consider donating to my challenge. Every penny will go toward making sure other families receive the same incredible support that Andrew and Susan did.
