After completing both the Yorkshire Three Peaks and the National Three Peaks challenges and raising an incredible £9000 for BIADS, this time we are taking on a whole new challenge - an EIGHT DAY trek to the top of Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania! Wild camping, no showers, altitude sickness, Arctic conditions at the summit, are all part of this hike!

Standing at 5,895 meters (19,340 feet) Mount Kilimanjaro is an awesome prospect. We've been working on our fitness for months in preparation. Success rate? Around 70-80% of those who start make it to the summit - while we are as prepared as it's possible to be, we are realistic! But we're giving it all we've got to try and raise some more much-needed funds for this wonderful local charity who supported my beloved Mum for so long before she passed away earlier this year.
