20 mile walk from Briton Ferry football club to The Lighthouse, Bracelet Bay before turning around and finishing at The Swansea Building Society Arena · 20 July 2025

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

A lot of you will know my good mate Hughesy. Earlier this year Steve and Jayne’s middle son Josh went from feeling unwell and having to pull out of a football tournament in Italy representing his country to being diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia just days later. This was a massive shock to not just this close-knit family but a wider circle of extended family, friends and team-mates. Josh has been an inspiration throughout all this and is still currently in the middle of a lengthy and aggressive treatment plan.

The family decided to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust as a thank you for their support and the facilities they provide that have benefited Josh, and have raised an astonishing £30k plus to date themselves, as well as friends raising additional funds for the same amazing charity.

Hughesy and myself always said there would be a 20 mile charity walk and that will now happen on Sunday 20th July. A small gang of us will set out from Briton Ferry football club (Josh’s current team) at approximately 8am and walk to The Lighthouse At Bracelet Bay before turning around to head back and finish at The Swansea Building Society Arena/The Green Room

Thank you
