Story
In April 2026 I will be running the London Marathon on behalf of Concern Worldwide UK. Concern's mission is to end extreme poverty, whatever it takes, and I am really proud to be able to support this amazing organisation in helping raise funds to support teams on the ground who are working together with people living in the most difficult situations, transforming lives, livelihoods and communities.
Concern's specialist teams work with over 27 million people each year across 27 countries where they support and build sustainable partnerships with people living on less than $2 a day.
Concern's work has never been more important to provide integrated and community-led programmes to some of the world's most vulnerable people living in war torn regions of the world such as Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Sudan, DRC, or where an emergency response is needed to help deal with the impact from catastrophic natural disasters, such as the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Myanmar.
Any support you can give would be so hugely appreciated - and to put this into context:
£12 pays for a school kit to help support children into education;
£70 pays for a community farming kit to provide tools to 10 households for them to harvest their crops;
£120 pays for a newborn to have a full course of life saving vaccinations;
£187 would provide a displaced family with short term shelter;
£300 would pay for 3 children with severe malnutrition to have a full treatment of life saving therapeutic food so they make a full recovery.
