We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

This year, I’ve been (bravely or maybe foolishly) invited to take part in the World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR). Yes, that’s the one where I’ll be cycling in nothing but my birthday suit. But for me, this isn’t just about making a scene; it’s about making a statement. I’m doing it to raise awareness for mental health and to help strip away the stigma that still surrounds it.

I’ll be baring all and pedalling proudly for miles in the buff.
You bring the pennies, I’ll bring the…well, everything else.

But this ride is more than just a cheeky dare.
As many of you know, I’ve been through the wringer over the last year, after being diagnosed with a brain tumour and undergoing surgery to have it removed. Thankfully, it wasn’t cancer, and the operation was a success. But I won’t lie: the aftermath hasn’t been easy.

From complications to recovery setbacks, and everything in between, it’s taken a toll on my physical health and, more than anything, my mental wellbeing.

That’s why I’ve chosen to ride for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), a charity close to my heart that fights to support those struggling with mental health and remind us all that we’re never truly alone, even on the toughest days.

Please sponsor generously.
Nothing says “supportive colleague” like backing someone willing to risk sunburn, saddle rash, and public indecency fines… all for a bloody good cause.
