Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. This year, I am taking on an extraordinary challenge: the Rat Race 100 Ultramarathon from Bamburgh Castle to Edinburgh Castle, a gruelling 100-mile (161 km) journey with most of it along the stunning King Charles III Coastal Path.

The event is organised by Rat Race Adventures and starts on July 4th at 7:00am. The runners have only 48 hours to complete the distance. Rat Race proudly announced that in 2025, 65% of starters finished the 100 miles, which was their “best ever result” – so you can see it is not for the faint-hearted! The route will be a mixture of roads, paths, and cross country. I will take lots of photos and selfies of this incredible journey.

I am sure that I will be signing the Proclaimers “I’m Gonna Be (500 miles)” many times on route, so I have set a target of £500 and if I get that then I will match it with £500 more!
