Story
In June, I’m taking on the Mighty Stride Kilt Walk in Aberdeen to raise money for the Transplant Unit in Addenbrookes Hospital named after the inspiring Sir Roy Calne, Cambridge via the Multi Organ Transplant Support charity (MOTS)
In August 2023, I had a life-saving multi-organ transplant (liver, pancreas, colon, small & large bowel) after an all-consuming pancreatic tumour. This nearly took my life on 3 separate occasions during initial surgeries in Glasgow.
The care I received from the team at Addenbrooke’s Transplant Unit once transferred, was incredible and the support from the charity has been invaluable throughout my recovery and beyond.
Thanks to the transplant team & MOTS, 3 years later I’m now back working full time and living life to the full as a busy father of 2 & husband.
This walk is my way of giving something back, pushing myself and helping others going through a similar journey, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
Any donation, big or small, would mean a lot.
Thank you for your support
