Story
ACCT supports around 500 autistic children in Sheffield each year.
As a father supporting my autistic son, I appreciate how challenging day-to-day life can be. ACCT are an amazing charity that help support such families.
The charity uses fun activities to engage young autistic people, helping them feel safe to be themselves without having to mask their Autism. ACCT delivers several in-person and online activity groups each week, including working in partnership with Everyone Active to provide autism-friendly swimming sessions at Hillsborough Leisure Centre, multi-activity Acctivate and Teenage Club, Football, Minecraft, Dungeons & Dragons and Drama clubs, a social group for autistic young adults, meetings and workshops for parent-carers, and whole family.
