I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at the age of 50 following the sudden onset of severe neurological symptoms. If it wasn't for the support received by Parkinson's UK as well as my wonderful network of family, friends and colleagues, it would have been much harder to come to terms with.

Everyone facing a PD journey has a different and unique story to tell and there are several moving stories on the Parkinson's UK website.

A number of friends and colleagues have first hand experience of this cruel and uncompromising degenerative condition and it's rather fitting that several of my work colleagues have rallied around to support this wonderful charity and take the jump in aid of Parkinson's UK. Unfortunately my condition means I am unable to complete the jump myself but I will be supporting from the ground.
