Household Cavalry Veterans Banger Rally heading for historic battlefields of Europe, completing various tasks on-route

Story

Team Spitfire is once again taking on the challenge of the 2024 HCav Banger Car Rally in support of the Royal British Legion. Starting in Portsmouth we will travel to a variety of historic battlefields across Europe completing tasks and challenges on

The Story:

Team Spitfire - Steve Welsh, Si Johnson and Nick Ferguson and the rest of the teams are in cars bought for no-more than £1,000, the entire cost of which is funded completely by ourselves. Steve and Si both served in The Household Cavalry and Nick served as a police officer. Sadly, Lynfel Owen, our normal 3rd member of Team Spitfire, can’t join us this year but will be with us in spirit!

The aims of the rally are:

a. To provide an opportunity for veterans of the Household Cavalry and some select civilians to come together and raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity.

b. To visit the battlefields and memorials and learn about defining moments in world history and to pay our respects to the glorious fallen.

d. To drink beer (whilst not driving)

Thank you for taking the time in reading our post and please feel free to donate what ever you can afford in the lead-up to the rally.

Best wishes

Steve Welsh, Si Johnson & Nick Ferguson
