Story
Our beautiful Tory Wren died suddenly on 28th October 2022 from a pulmonary embolus. She was 20 years old and was living her dream studying medicine at the Peninsula Medical School, University of Plymouth. She was in her 3rd year and was loving her placements particularly the surgeries she observed and interacting with medical colleagues and patients. Tory was a beautiful person with an amazing smile and ability to interact with anyone. She was compassionate, always enthusiastic and had the ability to become a super Doctor. She is hugely missed by both family and friends.
We are fundraising for the Peninsula Medical Foundation which seems fitting to honour Tory's memory. So far funds raised have contributed towards research in Parkinson's Disease.
I am Tory's Dad and this page is for my 2025-2026 runs (as a tribute to her).
Thank you for your support and taking the time to visit our JustGiving Page.
First up, in 2025, I ran the St Patrick's Day half marathon on Tory's 23rd birthday (very emotional) in East Sussex. It was a very undulating course but I felt comforted all the way round. Thank you SO much for your support. Happy birthday sweetheart!
Next I completed a half marathon around Dorney Lake on June 7th!
On October 5th, I completed my next half marathon (Crawley) in aid of The Peninsula Medical Foundation.
In 2026, I’m ran the 10 mile event in Chichester Harbour in late February. This was a warm up for the Gatwick half marathon which I am running in on May 10th.
Thanks SO much for your support.
