RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

Some of Stephen's happiest memories were of his time at Atlantic College, the international sixth form college on the coast of South Wales.

While he was a student, the College became the birthplace of the Rigid Inflatable Boat (or RIB), and Atlantic College donated the RIB patent to the RNLI. Stephen always claimed that his main contribution to life saving at the life boat station was driving the College Land Rover rather than being on the water! But after a lifelong love of the water, in particular boating on the Thames, we think a donation to the RNLI is a fitting way to remember him and the myriad of charitable work he was involved in.
