Story
For those of you who don't know, Super Sidney Cooke was born with Type 1 Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). SMA is a rare and severe genetic disorder that causes progressive muscle weakness and nerve degeneration. Sid continues to have intense therapy and whilst he is doing so well, the reality is he isn't mobile and every day life is a struggle. At the age of 5, Sidney has grown considerably over the last year and simple things like moving around his own home have become increasingly difficult.
We are therefore hoping to raise funds to help make adaptations to Sid's family home. Adaptations that will make a huge difference to Sid's life, not only now, but also for his future, which at the moment feels really uncertain for his amazing parents, Sophie & Aden.
Every penny counts, so please donate whatever you can as we commit to collectively covering 500 miles by walking, running and cycling, over the month of June.
Thanks for your support and generosity. It means a lot to us all.
