We offer practical, emotional and financial support where there is a need. We also raise awareness of the illness and in particular the challenges people face on a daily basis.

Story

Hi,

We are a team of 5 who will be attempting to swim the 50km stretch of water between Lands End and the Isles of Scilly. This is an event which has been talked about for almost 2 years and now we finally have the green light (weather wise) to attempt it.

To date there have only been a handful of solo swimmers and relay teams that have achieved this challenge, which shows how difficult it is. We are planning on starting at 8am and hoping to complete it in 16-18 hours.

Sadly the dad of one of the team members recently passed away from Pulmonary Fibrosis and so we have decided to dedicate this swim to him and raise money for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust.

Pulmonary Fibrosis is a devastating illness that not many are aware of unless it impacts them directly. The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust was founded by patients of the disease who wanted to ensure that people being newly diagnosed were more informed and supported than they were. Your donation will help ensure that others with this very debilitating and life-limiting illness can get the personal support they need.

The date of the swim is the 24/09/2024 (tomorrow) so you might well see this page after the swim has taken place!

Thank you in advance for any sponsorship you pledge.
