On 6th July, I'm cycling the Maratona dles Dolomites – 138km through the Italian Dolomites with seven climbs and 4,300 metres of elevation. It's going to hurt, but it's for a great cause. I'm raising money for Furnishing Futures, a charity that does something simple but transformative.

When women and children escape domestic abuse, they're often rehoused into completely empty flats. No beds, no flooring, no curtains - just four bare walls. Furnishing Futures fixes this by turning these bare spaces into safe and healing homes, using furniture from the interiors industry.

My target is £2,000 – what it costs to furnish a complete home for a mother and child starting over.
