Story
Welcome to my Just Giving Page.
This Summer I will be attempting to Climb the UK Three peaks - Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours in aid of two charities close to my Heart - Chester Scouts and The UK Sepsis Trust.
Chester & District Scouts
Chester & District Scouts is a fantastic organization that provides young people with opportunities for adventure and personal growth.
I am thrilled to be part of a team from Chester & District Scouts who are taking 36 Explorers on an international adventure to Norway in August 2024. We are fundraising to make the trip accessible to everyone and to ensure that these young people have the chance to explore new cultures and take part in all sorts of adventurous activities.
The UK Sepsis Trust
Half of my funds raised will be donated to the UK Sepsis Trust, In memory of my brother-in-Law Mark.
Mark passed too soon in 2022 at the age of 50 leaving behind his three beautiful girls, my sister and his two daughters Evie and Martha.
Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition. Raising money will help to support the amazing work that the Sepsis trust do, and I hope will prevent unnecessary death's caused by Sepsis.
I am extremely pleased and proud to be joined on this challenge by some fantastic volunteers from Chester Scouts as well as by my Sister Jules.
