200 Marathons in 200 Days

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. We aim to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. We do this locally through the provision of a wide variety of activities which are accessible to all our members and have a positive effect on their physical and mental health, building confidence and equipping them with skills which they will be able to apply through the rest of their lives.

Story

On 16th April 2025 I set off from Topsham, Devon to complete 200 marathons in 200 days as I make my way around mainland Britain. Aged 65, after a 40 year career in banking, this will require a considerable effort both physically and mentally.

I am raising money for two good good causes; Cancer Research UK and Devon and Exeter Scouts. You can choose which of these causes you decide to support.
