Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Four years ago my friend, and cyclist, Vincent, was diagnosed with blood cancer. Post diagnosis he underwent treatment at the excellent Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool and now, with on-going treatment, he has been able to continue with his life. Through him I became involved with a local haemotology support group and, through them, became aware of The Bloom Appeal.

The Bloom Appeal was established in 2014 by healthcare professionals, scientists, patients and, carers. They are dedicated to helping patients throughout their treatment as well as investing in facilities and, research programmes.

The Bloom Appeal not only supports the care and well-being of patients with blood cancers but also, through targeted funding, invests in scientific research into the treatment and cure for leukaemias, lymphomas and other blood cancers thus making a difference, not only in the lives of blood cancer patients in Merseyside, but throughout North West of England.

Every penny raised goes towards helping patients, their families and, towards research.
