Hearing Dogs for Deaf People trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds such as the smoke alarm, alarm clock, intruder alarms and baby monitors. These amazing dogs also help deaf people to leave loneliness behind by providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In April 2025 I will be running the London Marathon in support of Hearing Dogs For Deaf People.

These awesome dogs don't just help their owners by alerting them to doorbells, alarms or telephones. They provide companionship, emotional support and reduce isolation by allowing their owners to connect more effectively with friends, family and the outside world.

They train around 190 -200 puppies a year and currently improve the lives of over 3000 deaf people in the UK.

The majestic Cream dog in the photo is Waffle. You might have seen her on Channel 4's Crufts. She has transformed Sarah's life for nearly a decade. Check out this link.

Any donation you can make will be really appreciated.

So far I've managed to rupture an Achilles tendon, tear my hip flexor and break an ankle cuboid - Whatever that is. I do know it hurt lots.

Apart from that, training it's going really well. :-)

I'm back on track and injury free now!
