I spotted a last minute place available for the Great North Run, fundraising for Saint Catherine’s Hospice and took it to mark 10 years since Dad died. He didn’t make it to the hospice but I know they’re fantastically thought of locally. I’ve felt funny about doing this recently with the incredibly sad news of two other Scarborough dads recently, and I still don’t find it easy to talk about, but I think I need to mark it for him, for me and for my family.

Dad was an amazing photographer and I’m creating a series of 2024 calendars with his photos. Depending on interest I think I could get at least whole separate Scarborough, Lake District, Northumberland and even just a puffin calendar from his meticulously labelled hard drives! Like close up photos of flowers after it rains? There's multiple folders of those too.

Any donation is really welcomed in exchange for a calendar, along with messages on the kind you might like. I’ll be printing them in the next few weeks.
