The Fertility Foundation is an independent family run charity which aims to provide support and help to individuals and couples with advice, information and ultimately, practical assistance in accessing fertility treatment.

Story

Fertility issues are far more common than we think, with 1 in 7 couples being affected (Source: NHS). Without support, guidance and the required science throughout our IVF journey, we would not have had our little boy Oscar who has completed our lives.

The mental toll fertility issues can have on those involved can be immense and more often than not, totally all consuming. We know many friends and colleagues who have had varying struggles on their way to making a family (including our own personal experience), so it's a subject very close to my heart.

The Fertility Foundation provides support and advice to couples seeking IVF treatment in the form of grants as well as helping with NHS funding and working with patients and clinics to help resolve issues.

To help this charity, I am running the Spartan London West Trifecta, which encompasses three Obstacle Course Races over a two day period (21k race on 11th May and 5k and 10k races on 12th May). In total this will be 36km ran and 75 obstacles covered - for more information you can see the website here. The races are insanely challenging and will require significant training and dedication - all in the name of raising money for this great charity.
