Story
From 19-20 October, we are holding a 24-hour fundraising festival to raise funds for Festival Bombo.
Festival Bombo will not only reach thousands of young people with the Christian message of hope, but it will also help launch our Message Uganda permanent hub.
Multiple events are being held around the world by various activists to raise funds. Please consider how you can support.
Uganda has the second youngest population in the world with 78% of its citizens below 35 years old. The number of young people in the country is projected to double over the next 25 years (stats from UNICEF). We believe that there is a Kingdom-imperative to present the Gospel and disciple Ugandan young people to wholeheartedly follow Jesus in a country experiencing high levels of poverty, unemployment, and crime.
The December outreach will culminate with a 3-day event called "Festival Bombo", held at the CRM campus in Bombo, just outside Kampala. The event will include fun activities, live music and clear presentations of the Gospel. The goal is to catalyse a culture-shifting impact among young people in Uganda as we kick-start the work of The Message in the Pearl of Africa.
