Story

UPDATE

I am thrilled (and a little sore) to share that on Sunday morning I completed my 100km Thames Path Ultra March Challenge in 23 hours and 34 minutes (so just inside the permitted 24 hours). It was one of the toughest physical and mental tests I have ever taken on, but knowing I had your support kept me moving step after step, even through the toughest of stages.

Your generosity, encouragement, and faith in me made this achievement all the more possible. Together, we have not only conquered 100km, but we have also made a difference through your donations. Every contribution will go some way in supporting Animal Antiks, and I am hugely grateful to each of you for being part of this journey.

From the bottom of my heart - thank you. This was not just my walk, it was ours.

Thank you,

Steve

------------------------

Over the weekend of 13th and 14th September 2025, I shall be taking on the challenge of the Thames Path Ultra Challenge walking from Putney Bridge to Henley following the course of the river Thames (100km) to raise some much needed funds for Animal Antiks.

For added spice, I am attempting to complete the walk in under 24 hours – it all seemed like a good idea when I signed up, now I am not so sure.

I desperately need your help. Please spread word of my foolhardiness to your family, friends and colleagues. Please direct anybody who would like to support me to this justgiving page where any donation received will be hugely appreciated.

All monies raised will go directly to fund the activities of the Animal Antiks – a Buckinghamshire based charity which helps support a diverse group of children and young adults with various needs to learn and grow through a wide range of activities and tasks in a safe and calm farmyard environment.

It's been a tough time of late for charities and for young people in particular. This is an opportunity for me to give something back and help support the young people who aren't lucky enough to enjoy the advantages in life that most of us can take for granted.

This is no small undertaking. Completing the walk will be more than just a stroll in the park and will probably hurt!

Please ease my pain by giving as generously as you can.

Thank you. Steve
