Calling all football fans. We're back for a match against Spurs Legends on Sunday 28th June and this year we're raising money for Legend on the Bench - a charity, founded by Spurs Legend Micky Hazard, aspiring to place informative benches in every local park in the UK, giving 24/7 access to crisis support.
The benches are crafted to be beautiful additions to any park during the day. At night, built-in integral lighting transforms them into beacons of hope — visible from a distance and always accessible. QR codes on each bench connect directly to crisis support services, ensuring that help is only a scan away, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Legend on the Bench is a non-profit making charity, set up with the aim of reducing the number of tragedies recorded each year due to mental health issues or suicides. The organisation's objective is to raise money for the public benefit, the relief and assistance of people in need, in any part of the UK who are suffering from mental health issues and suicidal thoughts, by the provision of benches in public spaces, promoting the inscribed sources of support/advocacy/advice/information.
