Surrey Three Peaks Challenge · 14 June 2025

To provide free bereavement counselling to all residents of Croydon and the surrounding areas and to preserve or assist in the preservation of war memorials and other public monuments in the area commemorating figures of historical importance

Story

My challenge for this June is the Surrey Hills Three Peaks Challenge, walking Boxhill, Leith Hill and Holmbury Hill in one day - its around 17 miles across the beautiful countryside of Surrey and scaling its three steepest hills.

Pls make small donation in helping me raise funds for the Rowland Brothers Foundation which is making huge strides in getting people back on their feet when grief hits them hard.

What does the Rowland Brothers Foundation do?

in 1984, the Rowland Brothers Foundation was born out of a necessity to provide bereavement services at a time when such support was not widely available in the UK. In 2017, the Rowland Brothers Foundation achieved registered charity status, solidifying its commitment to supporting bereaved families and the community. Over the years, the Foundation has evolved to include professional counsellors who provide free, empathetic services to families and children navigating grief.

Key initiatives have emerged, including the "Never Alone" project, which offers one-on-one counselling, telephone support, walking groups, and bereavement support groups. Additionally, the Schools project was created in response to a tragic request from the head of Oasis Academy Shirley in 2020, following the untimely deaths of two students. Today, the Rowland Brothers Foundation continues its vital work, ensuring that no child or family faces bereavement alone.

Your support for the Rowland Brothers Foundation can make a profound difference in the lives of these children and families, helping them to find light amidst their darkest days. Together, we can create a community that stands with its most vulnerable members, ensuring that no child, family or vulnerable person has to bear their grief alone. Every Penny counts and your contribution will go towards to maintaining or expanding the projects and the support we give to the community.
