Strictly Banbury is a local event based on Strictly Ballroom. 20 Couples dance to see who will be the winners and to raise funds for two fantastic local charities.

Anyone that knows me knows I like to dance and when my friends suggested I should take part, I jumped at the chance.

I am dancing in memory of two of my closest friend’s parent’s who are sadly no longer with us, Pete Svenson and June Pettifer (Higgins) both of these lovely people were very special, and were sadly diagnosed with Dementia, a truly awful disease that will affect many of us; by taking part in this event I really hope to raise awareness and raise funds for Dementia Active in Banbury a charity that is working really hard to support our community.
