24 hour Three peaks challenge · 22 June 2024

The Adventure Farm is a haven for terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from across the Northwest providing week-long holidays to children in desperate need. A magical special place where laughter and happy times are encouraged, friendships blossom, illnesses and sorrows are forgotten.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to donate to our Three Peaks Challenge.

On 21st June 16 challengers and 4 support team will be setting off to Fort William in Scotland to stay over night and be well rested and raring to start their challenge at 12 noon the following day.

The challenge is to hike the three highest mountains one after the other in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) in just 24hrs.

The team will be navigating the mountains without a guide so will have to use all their teamworking and negotiating skills to ensure they are taking the safest and quickest route on each of the mountains. They will be climbing Scafell Pike during the night so head torches are a must but what an experience it will be to see the sunrise as they descend. The final mountain will be Snowdon in Wales which fingers crossed they will complete at 12 noon on Sunday 23rd June.

The Children's Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) is a local charity that provides amazing adventures for children and their families some of which may be disadvantaged, disabled or even terminally ill. It is a fantastic charity and one we are very passionate about helping as every penny raised goes straight back into increasing the adventures for the children visiting.
