We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Every 3 minutes, dementia steals a happily ever after. It's a thief that robs people of their memories, their independence, and their loved ones.

When it grabbed hold of my Dad, it took away my best friend and a loving husband who's dedication to caring for my Mum through her long-term battles with MS was truly inspirational.

My Dad is still with us, so when I say "took away" I mean it in the sense of the person he was and the life that he led. The sadness that I felt as I lost the man who I love and respect so much was devastating, and I am still struggling to come to terms with it if I'm honest.

That's why I'm participating in the London Marathon 2024, raising funds for Alzheimer's Research UK. They are the leading dementia research charity in the UK, dedicated to finding new ways to diagnose dementia, develop innovative treatments, and ultimately find a cure.

Dementia doesn't discriminate. It affects people from all walks of life - our parents, grandparents and friends. It's a battle that touches many of us in some way.

I'm asking for your support. By donating, you'll be contributing directly to groundbreaking research that has the power to change lives. Your generosity will help scientists and researchers unlock new insights into dementia and bring us closer to a future where no one has to face this devastating disease.

Join me in making a lasting impact. Together, we can rewrite the story of dementia and create a world where every ending is filled with hope and possibility.

Donate today and let's run towards a future without dementia!
