Story
Steve was a much-loved son and brother. and someone his family were deeply proud of. He cared strongly about the people close to him and showed that through his kindness, loyalty, and thoughtfulness. His warmth and character left a lasting mark on those who shared their lives with him.
Mental health illness can be a hidden torment, bringin deep & relentless pain with consequences often tragic. By supporting MIND UK, we can help ensure more people get the understanding, support, and care they deserve. A cause very personal to me.
To support MIND, I am taking part in one of 'The Worlds Toughest Footraces' - Marathon des Sables, Legendary 40th. This is for Steve's family, and to help raise awareness and funds to support those affected by mental health illness, and the families left behind by the devastating impact.
187 miles across the Sahara Desert, carrying all food & equipment weighing ~12kg. Temperatures reaching up to 50°C. Seven nights in an open sided bivouac sleeping 7, on the desert floor, with water the only facilities provided.
