On Friday the 21st of March, me and my good friend Steven Parr took part in the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice charity fundraising event, ‘Race Across West Yorkshire!!!’

20 teams set off in staggered starts from 6:45am onwards, with the final teams arriving at the last destination at 5.45pm. Each leg of the journey was timed, with individual challenges at every checkpoint.

📍 Kirkstall Abbey Leeds Museums and Galleries - ✅ Discovered historical facts

📍 SALT Bar & Kitchen - ✅ How many nuts in a pint glass & 🍺 & 🍕

📍 The Alhambra Theatre, Bradford Bradford Theatres - ✅ Discovered historical facts

📍 The Piece Hall - ✅ Discovered historical facts

…and finally crossing the finish line at Russell House in Huddersfield

With a strict 12-hour time limit all teams had to use their wits, teamwork, and resourcefulness to make it to the final destination. This was not just a race against the clock, but a test of strategy, stamina and skill!!!

The day was to raise much needed funds for any family confronted with the news their child has a life-shortening condition, however, wherever and whenever they are needed.
