I am running my next 1/2 marathon on the 27th September with my son Charlie- this may be my last ! ( I say that every year) .

Part of the reason for doubting my longevity is the training and so I m starting my fundraising page early to give me an incentive to get out running properly.

This year we are raising money for Notts Blood Bikes -why?

Well because they are renowned for being an awesome bunch of volunteers who save the NHS money by providing an out of hours service by collecting blood (and other samples) from GP surgeries and hospitals and delivering them to Pathology labs. If you have a blood sample taken in an afternoon then they get it to the hospital that evening.

They also deliver heel prick test from the city's neo natal units to the regional testing centre in Sheffield- and all done with such pride amd enthusiasm.

I ve been driving with Notts Blood Bikes since last September and wanted to raise some of the £5k a month required to keep the service going.
