Story
On Sunday 3rd March 2024 I will be running The Cambridge Half Marathon dressed as a ladybird!. It is a stunning 13.1 mile route around the city centre, out to Grantchester before returning to the city and crossing the finish line on Victoria Avenue.
This year I have chosen to support Ladybird Pre-school in Cottenham. Ladybird’s are a registered charity run by a group of trustees. They provide excellent care and education to the early year’s children from the ages of 2 to 5 years old, fully preparing them for the next stage in their learning journey.
Our Daughter, Lily, attends Ladybird’s and is now in her second year. Lily and all the other children of her age didn’t mix very much in the early part of their lives due to Covid restrictions, so it has been challenging for them to socialise. Lily has progressed in so many ways thanks to the help and support she receives from all the staff, including her fantastic Key Worker, Alison Sivewright.
