Story
This November marks the 10th anniversary of my CVST Stroke. When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly, and recovery can feel like an uphill battle. But there is hope. The brain has an incredible ability to adapt and heal, and with the right support, individuals can reclaim their lives.
During November, I am taking on the challenge of swimming 100,000 metres ( that’s 62 miles or 4000 lengths of the swimming pool) to raise funds for the Stroke Association. This charity plays a vital role in providing specialist support, conducting groundbreaking research, and advocating for those affected by strokes. Every stroke survivor deserves a chance to recover and thrive.
I will be in the pool over 26 days so that’s almost an IronMan distance every single day and hope to complete my swim in 30 hours.
I invite you to join me in this mission. Your generous contributions will help us reach my target of £500, enabling the Stroke Association to continue their essential work. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of countless individuals who are navigating the challenges of stroke recovery.
