Story
Approximately 70,000 people in Lancashire and South Cumbria are currently living with cancer.
The money that Rosemere Cancer Foundation raises, with the help of people like you, supports pioneering, local clinical research projects; cutting-edge equipment; specialist training; and innovative, life-changing welfare projects for the benefit of these patients wherever they are cared for across the region, now and in the future.
Rosemere Cancer Foundation has been part of my life for over 25 years.
When the Rosemere Cancer Centre first opened in 2000, I was there as a photographer, capturing the beginning of something special. Twenty-five years on, Rosemere has been there for me, providing care, support, and compassion at a time when it mattered most.
I’ve written The Adventures of Sid the Stoma, a book about my journey through cancer, surgery, life with a stoma, and learning to live again. It’s honest, sometimes funny, sometimes serious.
Over the next coming months I’ll be running events and sharing the book. This is my way of saying, you’re not alone, and neither am I.

If it made you laugh and you’re able to donate, you’ll be supporting Rosemere’s vital work and helping ensure that others receive the same care, dignity, and support that I did.
Thank you for supporting Rosemere and the incredible work they do!
