Story

Thanks for taking the time to read my story. Many many years ago I started running all because of my Dad who thought one day I would be a good runner, yes got medals actually quite a few, then one day he told me he had terminal cancer second time round and what gave me the strength was knowing he knew I needed to run again to help my mental health. Unfortunately 29 April 2024 my friend my drinking mate most of all my dad passed away. I always knew he was proud of me and I wanted him to feel even more proud than ever so I signed up to a 10km then ran 2 half marathons and thought running days are over but then I remembered my dad said one day I will run the marathon unfortunately it’s not the London marathon it will be a Brighton marathon 2026.

I want to try and raise as much money as I can for St Francis Hospice as they cared for my dad during his last weeks with us all but also I’m running for my good friend Natalie who also had cancer and passed away later that same year

God bless you both
