We have been lucky enough to see what a difference Able Child achieved helping disabled children reach their goals .

Able Child works toward a world in which no child with a disability is left behind.

We support a network of African organisations to protect, educate and amplify the voices of children and young people with disabilities.

Together, we work across Africa, breaking down barriers to inclusion so that children with disabilities are able to thrive.

Children like Patuma, who was not getting the support she needed as a young child living in Malawi. An issue with her spine meant she was unable to walk unassisted and her mother had care for her around the clock.

Then, thanks to our project with our Network Member in Malawi, she was identified, enroled into an Early Childhood Education centre with caregivers trained in physiotherapy, and was given a wheelchair to help her move around more independently. Patuma - now able to join her peers in inclusive play activities and classrooms - began to thrive.
