Story

In September of last year I was diagnosed with Vasculitis, a rare auto immune disease. The disease attacked my nose and lungs causing respiratory failure in addition to other complications. I spent 5 weeks in critical care and was saved by the wonderful staff at Salford Royal hospital.

In order to give something back, on the 5th May I will be joning the 108 mile Tour De Manc to raise money for Northcare. Northcare help Northern Care Alliance (NCA) NHS Foundation Trust deliver outstanding care across Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Salford by funding innovative equipment, education, research and wellbeing activities.

This will be my most difficult challenge yet. I am still recovering from my time in hospital and learning to live with Vasculitis and a suppressed immune system. However, I wanted to do something to help the hospital that did so much to help me.
