Story
Four Marathons. Four Weeks. One Incredible Cause.
This spring, I’m taking on the biggest challenge of my life: running four marathons in four weeks — Elgin, Paris, Manchester, and finishing with the iconic London Marathon. That’s over 100 miles of running, thousands of training miles, countless blisters… and all for a cause that means the world to me: Barnardo’s.
I’m not doing it just for the love of running. I’m doing it for Barnardo’s, a charity that means so much to me and my family.
Our beautiful daughter is adopted. She’s bright, funny, brave, and the absolute heart of our world. But we know that not every child is given the love, support, and stability they deserve. Barnardo’s works tirelessly to support vulnerable children across the UK, including those in care and on the edges of care. They help children find safe homes, rebuild their confidence, and believe in a better future.
So I’m running for the kids who need that chance.
I’ve set a target of £2,500, and every single donation helps Barnardo’s keep doing the life-changing work they do. If you can spare the cost of a coffee, a pint, or a pair of blister plasters (!) — it all adds up. And if you'd like to see me suffer, there will be plenty of sweat-soaked updates to enjoy!
This journey is tough — but nothing compared to what so many children face every day. So please, sponsor if you can, share the page, and help me make a real difference.
From our family to yours — thank you. 💚
Steve
