I have been volunteering as a handyman with the amazing Emmaus charity for a couple of years. The work they do to transform the lives of homeless people is truly inspiring. Emmaus provides purpose and belonging, helping individuals get back on their feet by supporting them in a work environment while addressing their basic human needs of food, shelter, and companionship. I am proud to be a volunteer with such a remarkable organization.

This year, Liza and I are participating in the annual St Albans Sleepout for the first time. The Sleepout gives us the chance to experience what sleeping rough is like for a night, and although it's daunting, we hope it will give us more empathy for the challenges that homeless people face. On November 8th, we will be sleeping outside with others to better understand their reality. Please consider making a donation to support Emmaus Hertfordshire and help those less fortunate than us.
