I’m Running The Sirona100 Ultramarathon for The Brain Tumour Charity on 11th July

Eighteen years ago, I lost my Dad to a cancerous brain tumour. Not a day goes by that I don’t feel the impact of that loss. It changed my life, my family, and the way I see the world.

This year, I’m taking on the Sirona100 — a 100‑mile ultramarathon.

To make the challenge even more meaningful (and definitely a lot colder on the head), I’ll also be braving the shave. Yes… the hair is going!

On Friday 13th March, I’m shaving it all off — and I’ll be staying bald until I complete the full 100 miles.

The course starts in Barmouth and ends in Cardigan. Taking on some very tough terrain along the west wales coastal path. It’s the toughest challenge I’ve ever attempted, and I’m doing it to turn that loss into something meaningful. I’m running in my Dad’s memory — and for every family who has faced, or is facing, the fear and uncertainty that comes with a brain tumour diagnosis.

I’ve also managed to rope in two good friends, Adam Broom and Jonny Evans, to take on this challenge with me. Their willingness to step up, train, and push themselves for this cause means the world. Taking on something this big feels a little less daunting when you’ve got good people beside you.

Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, yet research remains hugely underfunded. The Brain Tumour Charity is working to change that. They fund vital research, support patients and families, and fight for better awareness and faster diagnosis. Their work gives hope where it’s desperately needed.
