Story
On Saturday 27th June, I’m taking part in the Derbyshire Unstrictly Dancing Fundraiser at the Reach Conference Centre in Derby — a brilliant night of dance, music and community that raises money for some genuinely important local causes.
I’ll be honest with you: I’m no dancer. But some things are worth stepping well outside your comfort zone for, and this is firmly one of them.
Every penny raised on this page goes to The Lewis Sewell Memorial Trust. Lewis was a bright, creative young man who loved the stage. After his death at just 18, his family set up the Trust in his memory to support young actors, performers and creatives — helping them chase the dreams he never got the chance to. It’s a cause that’s hard not to be moved by, and an honour to dance for.
The evening as a whole also supports several other Derbyshire charities, all working to make a real difference to young people and families across the county.
So whatever you can spare, please do give. It goes straight to the Trust, and it genuinely matters.
Thank you so much for your support — it means a great deal.
Steven
